Are there any words to describe the allegations of Barbara Boxer at todays confirmation hearings of Condoleezza Rice? Has there ever been a prospective cabinet member called a liar before in one of these hearings? And, I am just waiting for some MSM pundit to say that “both sides” are at fault. This past year has seen the most outrageous accusations against an administration in our history. Yet, the press will make it sound as if “both sides” are participants. It is just another example of how low the left will go in the name of politics. Also, it turns out that not only was Boxer insinuating that Condi had no integrity or honesty but that Boxer’s accusations of Rice and the Bush Administration were false.
Barbara Boxer was simply lying through her teeth today at Condoleezza Rice’s confirmation hearing, when she said the bill passed by Congress authorizing the war in Iraq was, “WMD, period.”
It is not likely that we will we see this in the headlines tomorrow? But, one thing is for certain… Condoleezza Rice continues to impress. She is utterly brilliant no matter how hard the leftists try to make her look bad.
Update: I was just going to call this a night but then I saw this headline at CNN… Rice Spars with Democrats in Hearing. This is so misleading. Rice was defending herself, her integrity and her positions from unheard of brutal attacks. This headline makes ‘her’ responsible by how it is worded not the other way around. Even the pictures they choose to use are “very hard” serious facial expressions.
