The Zarqawi tape, issued on May 30, not only indicates that he is alive and well but that a major operation is in the works that he is awaiting approval for. To add further validity to this, the Commander of Al-Qaida’s Martyrdom Brigade, Sheikh Abu Dujanah Al-Ansari has made the following statement:
“We have revived the martyrdom practice that was pioneered by Al-Bara’a Ebn Malek, one of the first generation Muslims, by forming a Martyrdom Brigade bearing his name. This Brigade was also formed to answer the call of our commander, Sheikh Osama Bin Laden, to terrorize the enemies of Allah by attacking their fortified bases through martyrdom operations.
I am pleased to inform both of our commanders, Osama Bin Laden, and Abu Mesa’ab Al-Zarqawi, that our Martyrdom Brigade has successfully completed many operations against the cross worshippers throughout Iraq. Upcoming operations will be even more devastating to the occupiers and the apostates, by the Grace of Allah…
…We know from the Al-Qaida Strategy To The Year 2020 document that Al-Zarqawi has had a free hand in conducting operations from the start of their offensive against the American occupiers. So again, the million dollar question is: what kind of operation does Al-Zarqawi require clearance from his boss for?
All indications are that we are likely to find out in the near future.
