"We love Our Freedom and We will fight to keep it!"

HERE is the full State of the Union Address.

** It was a Home Run! **

President George W. Bush
State of the Union Address
January 31,2006

It’s a home run!

We will never surrender to evil!

We are in the fight to win (in Iraq) and we are winning.

The decisions on our troops will be made by our military and not by politicians in Washington.

Bush recognizes a family who lost their son in Iraq.

Let us never forget the sacrifices of our military families.

America will not permit Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

America hopes to be best friends with a free Iran.

I ask you to reauthorize the Patriot Act.

We now know that the terrorists made international telephone calls before the 9-11 attacks. We will not sit back and wait to be hit again!

Make the tax cuts permanent.

We will eliminate 140 programs. We will cut the deficit in half by 2,009.

Pass the line item veto.

Violent crime is down to lowest rates since the 1970’s. (but not in France, BTW)

A life of personal responsibility is a life of success.

Sam Alito gets a standing ovation.

Will we turn back or finish well.

We will lead freedom’s advance.

Michelle Malkin has a huge roundup.

Democratic Response is pathetic:

Federal Deficit continues to increase- Not True
College Spending? – Bush increased by 40%
Energy- There’s a better way! – Well we could drill in ANWR!
America needs to heal it’s partisan divide!
Tonight we pray!

I agree with Betsy.

Bare Knuckle Politics followed the address tonight.

“Generation Why?” has the SOTU short version.

Powerline agrees it was another good speech.
