The official Iranian News Service is reporting that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on another letter writing jag. This time Pope Benedict XVI was gifted with the Iranian president’s nonsense:
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in the Holy See on Wednesday delivered a message to Pope Benedict XVI from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Mottaki, heading an Iranian delegation, arrived in Rome on Wednesday morning on his way to Vatican.
IRNA reporter in Rome said that Vice-President and head of Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) Rahim Mashaei, member of parliament representing Iranian Christian community George Vartanian, Iranian former ambassador to Vatican Hojatoleslam Mostafa Boroujerdi are accompanying Mottaki.
The visit to the Holy See of Iranian delegation on the auspicious occasion of Christmas gave significance to Mottaki’s mission and the anti-Iran resolution, leaders of the Christian nations passed at the Security Council would be the focus of president’s message.
Mahmoud also wrote a letter in July to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, complaining that Germany was being exploited by “greedy Zionists.”
HotAir has more from planet Ahmadinejad.
