Barak Obama… No Messiah, Just Another Self-Absorbed Liberal

Unlike Lincoln… Obama called to cut and run from the battlefield today.

Obama ’08 officially took off today in Springfield, Illinois. But, unlike Abe Lincoln, Barak is a divider who chooses defeat and retreat in Iraq and from his teachings in Marxism during his time in New York, believes in the power of the state and not the individual.
Here are a couple of his more offensive lines from his announcement for president:

For the last six years we’ve been told that our mounting debts don’t matter, (It’s actually on its way down, Barak)

We’ve been told that the anxiety Americans feel about rising health care costs and stagnant wages are an illusion (wages are increasing),

We’ve been told that climate change is a hoax (it may not be a hoax but whether it is caused by man or not is still under debate),

And that tough talk and an ill-conceived war can replace diplomacy (Ill-conceived?), and strategy, and foresight.

And when all else fails, when Katrina happens, or the death toll in Iraq mounts, we’ve been told that our crises are somebody else’s fault (Bush took blame for Katrina flaws).

We’re distracted from our real failures, and told to blame the other party, or gay people (Who blamed gay people?), or immigrants.

On the war in Iraq unlike Lincoln, and typical of the democrats of the day, Obama chooses defeat:

But all of this cannot come to pass until we bring an end to this war in Iraq. Most of you know I opposed this war from the start. I thought it was a tragic mistake. Today we grieve for the families who have lost loved ones, the hearts that have been broken, and the young lives that could have been. America, it’s time to start bringing our troops home. It’s time to admit that no amount of American lives can resolve the political disagreement that lies at the heart of someone else’s civil war. (It’s not.)

Obama was right for choosing Illinois for the announcement of his presidency. But, it would have been more appropriate if he would have chosen Chicago- the home of the cut-and-run platform during the Civil War, rather than the hometown of Lincoln the emancipator.

Wilsonizer explains who Obama really resembles, and it’s not Lincoln.
