Democrats Want to Flee Iraq & Fight "Real" War on Terrorism

Less than two weeks after suggesting that American troops focus on fighting only “al-Qaeda in Iraq”

Democrats are now proposing that US troops abandon Iraq to focus on the “real” War on Terror that is Afghanistan!

Speaker Pelosi wants to fight the real war on terror in Afghanistan.
(3:28 minutes- “focus on the real war on terror” at 3:00 minute mark)

Unreal!
But, please don’t question their cluelessness!

The democrats released their plan for defeat in Iraq and also showed that they have absolutely no idea on how to fight the war on terrorism!
The Washington Post reports:

The bill also shifts more resources into the war in Afghanistan, where Democrats say the real war on terrorism should be fought to prevent the resurgence of the radical Islamic Taliban movement and the al-Qaeda terrorist network that attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001.

“This bill takes giant steps toward putting resources into that war, a war that is unfinished and nearly forgotten by the administration,” Pelosi said in announcing the proposed legislation.

And more from Speaker Pelosi via the AP:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

“If those benchmarks are not met … (we will be) calling for redeployment of U.S. troops out of Iraq so that we can focus more fully on the real War on Terror, which is in Afghanistan,” she said.

From the DNC website:

The proposal by Speaker Pelosi and others would, according to a press release from the House Appropriations Committee:

– Redirect more resources to the war against al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan

Unbelievable! Is it any wonder that Al-Qaeda was celebrating when the democrats won the elections in November?

One of the current leaders of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, is reported to have run terrorist training camps in southern Iraq when he took refuge there in 2001.

Back Talk has more on the eerie code of silence by democrats on Al Qaeda in Iraq.

In the last 24 hours in Iraq:
The Al Qaeda media emir was captured in Iraq
Seven terrorists killed during raid on suspected VBIED cell
18 insurgents were convicted to life
The Iraqi army captured 32 insurgents
