HERE IT IS: Iran Announces Nuclear Fuel Production

“With great honor, I declare that as of today our dear country has joined the nuclear club of nations and can produce nuclear fuel on an industrial scale.”

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

** BREAKING **
The Iranian Fars News Service is reporting that the Islamic Republic of Iran is producing nuclear fuel on an industrial scale!

45 foreign ambassadors and representatives of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) were in attendance for the announcement.

What is more frightening?… The admission by Iran on the status of their nuclear program, or the fact that 45 developing countries were there to witness the event after Iran promised to share their nuclear technology?

Iranian Fars News

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- The Islamic Republic of Iran has succeeded in entering the phase of industrial nuclear fuel production following its significant technological progress at Natanz enrichment facility, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency (IAEO) Gholam Reza Aghazadeh said on Monday.

After it succeeded in completing two cascades of 164 centrifuges, Iran has now gained full access to the nuclear fuel production cycle know-how.

Aghazadeh made the remarks during a ceremony held in Natanz nuclear facility for announcing the controversial good news of President Ahmadinejad.

The ceremony was attended by Iranian president, high-ranking officials and MPs as well as more than 45 ambassadors of foreign countries to Tehran and representatives of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Troika.

Across Iran, school bells rang to mark the “national day of nuclear energy.”

Mahmoud even got to tour the facilities today. (Fars)

Iranian Bazteb News has more on the announcement at Natanz enrichment facility in central Iran by Gholamreza Aghazadeh.

The Associated Press follows with news that the regime is using 3,000 centrifuges in the production as HotAir and YNet speculated yesterday:

Iran on Monday announced that it has begun enriching uranium with 3,000 centrifuges, dramatically expanding a program that the United Nations has demanded it halt.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at a ceremony at the enrichment facility at Natanz that Iran was now capable of enriching nuclear fuel “on an industrial scale.”

Asked if Iran has begun injecting uranium gas into 3,000 centrifuges for enrichment, top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani replied, “Yes.” He did not elaborate. The United Nations has demanded Iran halt the expansion of the uranium enrichment program.

Kamangir has some more shots from the earlier protests.
