After 3 Years- Democrats Finally Vote For 9-11 Recommendations

Nancy Pelosi and the democrats voted against the recommendations on the 9-11 Commission on October 8, 2004.
(Roll Call HERE).
But, that hasn’t stopped the democrats from shamelessly using the 9-11 Commission’s recommendations as a talking point since that time.

Pelosi 10-15-2004:

“If President Bush truly wants an effective 9/11 bill, he must insist that the 9/11 conference committee act immediately to honor the work of the 9/11 Commission.”

Pelosi 12-5-2005:

“Democrats continue to support addressing completely all of the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.”

Pelosi 9-13-2006:

“If we do pass the 9/11 Commission recommendations, only then will we truly be honoring the memory of those who died.”

** Sister Toldjah has much more from Pelosi.

Finally… Democrats passed their version of the 9-11 recommendations today.
This is what they had to say, via the AP:

Six years after the Sept. 11 attacks and three years after the 9/11 Commission made its recommendations, “Congress is finally embracing what the 9/11 families have been saying all along,” said Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss. “It takes a willingness to do things a different way.”

Shameless.
