Bassam Abdul Mehdi Wins "Iraq Star 3" Competition

You may have missed this in the Western media…
Bassam Abdul Mehdi took home the top prize at this year’s Iraq Star 3 competition.

Primary qualifications were held in Baghdad, Waset, Arbil, Damascus, Amman and Dubai with more than 3000 contestants in Iraq Star 1, 2 and 3.

This new season is masterminded thoroughly to give the chance for all young promising Iraqis to voice their talents whether inside or outside Iraq. Thus, six application centers have been set forth, three of which in Iraq, with the first application center in Baghdad comprising Baghdad, Anbar and Diyala provinces. The second center was set in Waset and included provinces of Basra, Missan, Dhi Qar, Muthanna, Diwaniya, Najaf, Karbala, Babel and Kut while the third application center in Arbil was set for provinces of Sulaymaniya, Arbil, Mosul, Kirkuk, Dahouk and Salah Din- Al-Sumaria.

Iraqis crowned Bassam Abdul Mehdi the winner of Alsumaria TV’s popular talent competition this year.

Iraq Star 3 brought to light a new star glowing in Iraq’s sky. Bassam Abdul Mehdi was crowned Iraq Star 3 in an exceptional ceremony that was as outstanding as the audience comprising it. The first rank Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon Jawad Al Hairi, Alsumaria CEO Chafic Tabet, and a number of prominent figures were in attendance for the final show. Iraq Star 3 contestants were cheered by a large audience of fans from all over Iraq. Relying on magnificent voices, the show’s stars embarked onto a new adventure in life eying stardom to which Alsumaria TV has paved the way.

Contestants Hussam, Bassam, Ouss and Ivan staged dazzling singing performance that amazed viewers and audience.

At the end of the contest, Alsumaria CEO handed Iraq Star 3 Bassam Abdul Mehdi the winning prize while Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon congratulated all Iraqis in the name of the Embassy.

With the end of the journey, contestants conveyed their heartfelt thanks to their audience and mainly Alsumaria which backed them along the way.
