Former Gitmo Detainee Re-Arrested in Pakistan

Another former Gitmo detainee is re-arrested…
Israrul Haq was re-arrested in Pakistan this week.
The Daily Times reported:

Israrul Haq, who was freed from incarceration in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in 2005 before being rearrested on Thursday, has been transferred to an undisclosed location by unidentified agencies. According to sources, Haq and several relatives were travelling to Mardan by bus when he was arrested at the Gohati bus stop on the Swabi-Mardan road. They said that his family were allowed to continue their journey but he was taken away in a car. They said that when his family contacted the police to learn of Haq’s whereabouts, they were told that police had not arrested him.

United States Army soldiers captured Haq, who is a resident of Panjpaoo Kharai of Topi tehsil, when they invaded Afghanistan.

The Frontier Post in Pakistan has more on his arrest and history.
