Peace activist Carlos Hartmann, 41, of Michigan was seeking to punish the Netherlands for its support of the war in Iraq. So, Carlos ambushed a 22-year-old Dutch student with an ax after failing to find a soldier to kill.

This week the peace activist was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder.
Here is a video on the ax murdering peace activist (in Dutch):

He killed the student because he was Dutch and because Dutch troops were supporting America and President Bush in the War on Terror.

Thijs Geers, a Dutch student, was waiting on the train platform when he was axed to death over “the war of Bush” by peace activist Carlos Hartmann.

This week Carlos Hartmann was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the ax murder.
This article was translated from Omroep Brabant:

The court in Breda Thursday has 15 years’ imprisonment imposed on the Americans who killed Thijs Geers from Bergen op Zoom.

Two weeks ago was still twelve years in prison demanded by the prosecution. The 22-year-old student from Bergen op Zoom was unsuspecting in September last year on the station in Roosendaal when Carlos H. axed him to death. The brutal murder brought a wave of grief, horror and incomprehension.

Carlos H. wanted to take revenge on the U.S. government for the suppression of the Latino’s. Because the Netherlands is an ally of the U.S. he wanted to take revenge here.

The 22 year-old was killed by the peace activist while waiting on a train.
A witness who asked to remain anonymous describing Hartmann as striking the victim in the back of the head with the axe.
