The impeached president was back in the White House today.
For Bill Clinton, the rug in the Oval Office brought back fond memories.
The Telegraph reported:
Time and memoirs may let us know, but judging by a remark Mr Clinton made to President George W Bush before they headed into the adjoining dining room, there was plenty of room for idle conversation at the ultimate power lunch.
“I just love that rug,” he cooed, looking down at the pale gold rug with sunbeam design that Mr Bush brought with him in 2000 and which will shortly be packed off to his home state Texas.
Talking about rugs while back in the Oval Office was not one of Bubba’s better moves.
