Missouri Voter Database Experiences Problems

Reports are coming in from across Missouri that the electronic database is unavailable to verify voter registration.
Missouri Watchdog reported:

Reports are coming in from across the state that the Missouri electronic database designed to track voter information is unavailable for poll workers to access online to verify voter registration.

A spokesperson for the Missouri Secretary of State has told several media outlets that the snafu has not impacted the database itself and that the problem is a matter of poll workers not being able to gain access online to verify voter registrations.

The spokesperson has not responded to requests for more information about the problems from Missouri Watchdog.

However the spokesperson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that each county should have a printed copy of the voter rolls, so voters should be able to be verified by poll workers at each polling place.

Republicans are already crying foul.

Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, a Democrat, is running against U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, a Republican, for an open U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring U.S. Sen. Kit Bond.
