59% of Americans HATE Barack Obama’s Tax the Rich Plan

It was a real snoozer.
Obama pushed his plan to cut the budget by raising taxes and ending the Bush tax cuts.
Americans hate the idea.
Reuters reported:

Weighing in on the Washington budget debate, 59 percent of Americans prefer to cut existing programs while 30 percent would rather raise taxes to reduce deficit spending.

And they prefer to cut defense spending rather than programs that affect them more directly like Medicare and Social Security.

65% of American voters don’t believe for a second that the government will cut spending until after 2012… when Obama retires.
