Speaker John Boehner told Chris Wallace on FOX News Sunday this morning,
“The House has done’ its work. We’ve passed a budget… At not one time in this whole process have senate democrats and the White House passed a budget, put a budget out there. Or even put a plan out there… There was never any plan from the White House. The whole plan came from us. At some point democrats need to lay their cards on the table.”
Democrats don’t have a plan.
They just want to bludgeon Republicans with their own plan. That’s the extent of their plan.
Reuters reported:
Republican U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on Sunday that he would prefer to unveil a bipartisan deal to raise the debt ceiling and that his last offer to Democratic President Barack Obama was still on the table.
Boehner said that his offer that included some $800 billion in new tax revenue reforms and massive spending cuts was never withdrawn, often dubbed the “grand bargain,” but that he would move forward on a Republican plan if a bipartisan deal could not be reached.
