A Portland police officer was injured yesterday after Obama-endorsed Occupy Portland mob started hurling projectiles at the cops.
Yup. They’re JUST LIKE the tea party.
Witnesses said it appeared that something – possibly a bottle – was thrown at police and hit one officer in the leg. Officers surrounded their injured peer and mounted patrols moved in quickly to protect him. Then, he was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the protesters themselves delivered the suspect to police, shoving him out of their crowd toward the line of officers. Suspect Cameron Scott Matta, 23, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, interfering with a police officer and harassment. He appeared to have a small head wound. (See mug shot photo top, right) Matta made bail Sunday morning.
Police arrested more than 50 people yesterday during the rioting.
