Iranian Regime Claims It Shot Down US RQ-170 Drone

The Iranian regime today reported that they shot down a US drone in eastern Iran.
The Islamic Republic News Agency reported:

A US spy drone was shot down by Iranian armed forces in east of the country, said an informed military official Sunday.

He noted that the unmanned craft is of the type ‘RQ170’ which was slightly damaged is currently in the hands of the Iranian forces.

Armed forces with a dominant control over the country’s borders managed to indentify and down the invading plane.

Stating that this is a clear example of aggression on Iran’s borders, he added that Iranian armed forces are fully ready to counter any aggression.
