Bill O’Reilly Defends Gateway Pundit From Bogus Racism Charges By LA Times (Video)

Bill O’Reilly and Bernie Goldberg tonight both agreed that the racism charges against Gateway Pundit by the LA Times were completely bogus.
“It’s not racism, it’s elitism… When they do this over and over again, crying wolf about racism, nobody’s going to pay them any attention.”
It must suck being Media Matters about now. Maybe they’ll think twice before they start sending out bogus tips to their liberal friends in the media after this latest embarrassment.

The current President of the United States has made speeches all over the country saying he’d like to be able to dictate how things will be, but he’s stuck with dealing with those awful Republicans. Now Michelle Obama makes a joke on a TV show about her own royal aspirations. It’s the kind of image that can stick, and it conveys the notion that both of them really have no idea what the role of the Presidency is.
Competency IS going to be the key issue in the upcoming Presidential election, and Marie Antoinette is the icon of a self-centered naive spouse of an incompetent monarch.

With both egrecious comments, it looks like he wants to spin the whole thing to save the LA Times credibility not for any real consideration for GP.
The two commentators avoided the obvious … discussing the ISSUE of the Obama’s flagrant partying and vacationing that is costing taxpayers enormous sums of money. O’ Reilly overtly pushed that aside.
They both were artificially blocking this into a very very narrow box … just fussing about the “racism” – “let’s talk about that ad nauseum nowhere for a week” instead of the blow-out spending – both personal indulgences and national debt disaster.
The problem of the palace of Versailles was its cocoon-like isolation from the people, the enormous and devastating taxation that the hedonistic nobles and clergy dodged that was destroying the citizens, and the parade of regular outlandish costume party feasts the king threw for the nobles that were paid out of taxes.
Bill O’Reilly was wrong, the comparison is SPOT ON. His job was to blur that and try to cover it with a dodge so people will look at the picture and think “racism” not US taxpayer abuse.

She had her husband build her a small country cottage where she spent her time whenever possible, enjoying a simple life, milking her own cow, growing a garden and tending her own livestock.
She was 38 when she was beheaded for being part of a system over which she had no control.
She was hated by the French simply because she was an Austrian and made a good scapegoat, but had no real power to affect their lives in any meaningful way.

I’ve heard this as the rationale behind the “let them eat cake” statement. She literally was so out-of-touch with society that the notion of starving masses made absolutely no sense. How could people starve? Literally every event she went to had food, had drink, had cake. The thought at the time of where it came from, how it got there, had never crossed her mind. It simply was there. And if it was there for her, it must be the same for everyone.
How could anyone starve, when there is always cake in every room of the known universe of her mind?
If BOR wants to cite which one is more the “villaness,” then choose the one who knows full damn well about the starving masses, the struggling families, the tone-deaf appearance of expensive vacations and wardrobe and lifestyle. I can see why she’s mad, in her mind, she’s *finally* achieved the status of First Lady, and all those other ones before her got to be spoiled princesses, but now she’s gotten the title during a recession, so all you crazy pundits are gonna try and tell her she’s gonna take it all down a notch? What does it matter? A Conservative does not believe that Michelle Obama has to live like the poor because a lot of Americans are poor. What she does is her own business.
