The leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard told supporters that Iran has the upper hand over the US and that the US would suffer the heaviest damage if it dares to launch an attack on the regime.
Fars News reported:
A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) underlined that Iran has the upper-hand and the initiative in the Persian Gulf, and warned the US that it will sustain the heaviest damage if it ever dares to launch a war on Iran.
Addressing a ceremony in Iran’s Southern port city of Bushehr on Wednesday, Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi pointed to the status quo in the strategic Persian Gulf, and added, “Under the present conditions, pressure has been laid on Iran to the highest level possible, but Iran has the initiative in the region, and the issues raised by the US and its allies also confirm this fact.”
“If Americans are after shooting (at Iran), an economic and military havoc will wreak on them,” Fadavi said.
“The conditions and requirements of war against Iran will not be prepared for the Americans, therefore the loss and damage of war with Iran is way beyond its benefits,” Fadavi said.
Iranian officials have repeatedly warned the trans-regional states, specially the US, to pull their troops and warships out of the Persian Gulf.
