Republicans Retain Control of House of Representatives – Pick Up Seats

Republicans retained control of the US House tonight.
FOX News reported:

Republicans will retain control of the House, Fox News can now project. Democrats fell short of their goal of picking up 25 House seats, which would have given them control of the 435-member legislative chamber. But there are now early indications that Republicans may actually pick up seats.

The outcome in the battle to control the Senate remains too close to call, but several Democrats have already been declared winners in keys races — including Democratic Rep. Chris Murphy in Connecticut and Democrat Joe Donnelly in Indiana.

Fox News projects Murphy the winner in his race against Republican Linda McMahon for the open seat left by retiring independent Sen. Joe Lieberman. In addition, Donnelly is projected to defeat Republican Richard Mourdock.
