Taliban militants say they have attacked a US airbase in Afghanistan’s southern province of Kandahar with rockets.
Press TV reported:

The Taliban have said they have launched a coordinated attack on the largest U.S. base in southern Afghanistan.

A spokesperson for the Taliban has said they have attacked Kandahar airfield with rockets and explosives.

More than 10,000 U.S.-led soldiers and foreign contractors are based on the airfield and the base is a major hub for U.S.-led operations in the south of the country.

The attack came one day after the Taliban announced its spring offensive against foreign forces in Afghanistan and said it would step up its attacks on military and diplomatic sites.

Obama’s meetings with the Taliban are really working working wonders, aren’t they?
