A sixth-grader in Stamford, Connecticut was arrested in connection with a brutal beating and robbery of a 39 year-old man.
ABC Local reported:
NBC Connecticut reported:
Stamford police say they’ve arrested a 12-year-old suspected gang member in connection with the beating and robbery of a 39-year-old man earlier this month.
Police told The Advocate of Stamford that the local sixth-grader may be in a gang that’s been beating up and robbing Hispanic immigrants.
The boy’s name wasn’t released because of juvenile offender laws. He’s detained at a juvenile jail.
Police say the boy and four other males beat and robbed a Hispanic man on June 1. Authorities say the victim suffered severe eye and facial injuries and broken ribs.
Police say the victim later identified the boy after seeing him Saturday and picking him out of a school yearbook.
