Al-Qaeda flag on the Benghazi Courthouse
The New York Times published a controversial report on the Benghazi massacre this weekend. The Times found no evidence that Al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the assault on 9-11. The Times also said, “Benghazi was not infiltrated by Al Qaeda.”
Here’s what The New York Times didn’t report:
** Shortly after the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi where four Americans were killed, a phone call was made from Benghazi that linked the attack to Al-Qaeda. The call was made to a senior figure in al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, or AQIM.
** In October 2011 Al-Qaeda or an offshoot group planted its flag on the Benghazi Courthouse. The terror group warned locals:
“Whomever speaks ill of this flag, we will cut out his tongue.”
From the video: According to one Benghazi resident, Islamists driving brand-new SUVs and waving the black al Qaeda flag drive the city’s streets at night shouting, “Islamiya, Islamiya! No East, nor West!”
** Radical Islamist groups including Shariah Guardians Brigade, an Al-Qaeda linked group, held a massive military parade in Benghazi 90 days before US Ambassador Chris Stevens was slaughtered at the US Consulate.
** Even Ambassador Stevens warned Washington about Al-Qaeda in Benghazi–
Ambassador Chris Stevens warned superiors in Washington of increasing violence in Benghazi the day he was murdered. He also wrote a cable about his concerns that the Al-Qaeda flag has been spotted several times flying over government buildings.
If the NY Times wants to shill for Obama they need to do a better job.
