Kentucky Democrat Alison Grimes is running as a “moderate” Democrat.
This week she met with green radical Tom Steyer and today she was fundraising with anti-coal groups in Washington DC.
Alison Grimes supports the Obama’s War on Coal
After meeting with environmental radical Tom Steyer in Chicago yesterday at Democracy Alliance, Grimes is fundraising in Washington with Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown today.
If you’re not familiar with Senator Brown, he’s no friend of coal. In fact, since 1993 he’s been making life harder on families that work in the coal industry.
It was in ’93 that then-Congressman Brown voted for a BTU tax that, according to Ohio Inter-Agency Task Force, would put 415,000 jobs at risk. The coal and petroleum industries would be the hardest hit.
Sherrod Brown’s record also includes support for multiple regulations by the EPA that would dramatically increase costs for coal producers (and by extension, consumers like you and me).
