IA Democrat Bruce Braley Compares Joni Ernst to Chick in Sexist New Ad (Video)

After her big primary victory on Tuesday Democrat Bruce Braley compared Joni Ernst to a chick in his latest ad.
How sexist.

If Ernst wins in November she will be the first woman to serve in the US senate from Iowa.
Hence, the misogynistic attack ad.

The Des Moines Register reported:

Braley’s statewide ad says he’s going to expose Ernst’s record “as a typical politician who says one thing, but does the exact opposite.”

Braley’s 30-spot, called “Peep,” plays off Ernst’s famous “Squeal” ad, in which she says she’ll use the hog castrating skills she learned growing up on an Iowa farm to “make ’em squeal” in Washington. The advertisement was first shared with The Des Moines Register.

“We’ve all heard the one about pigs squealing,” the female narrator says in Braley’s ad. “But when Joni Ernst had the chance to do something in Iowa, we didn’t hear a peep. In the state Senate, Ernst never sponsored a bill to cut pork. Never wrote one measure to slash spending.”

GOP operatives had predicted that Braley would use negative ads targeted at Republican voters in Iowa in an effort to sour their interest in her and depress GOP turnout in the general election Nov. 4.

In March Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) dissed Iowa farmers and Sen. Chuck Grassley at a fundraiser with trial lawyers in Texas.
