Michigan Town to Employ ‘Airport Security’ for July 4th Fireworks Show

The police state meets Independence Day. But the police say to not be concerned – it’s for your safety.

Fox 47 of Lansing, Michigan reports:

The news station claims the effort is to “make what can be a dangerous holiday a lot safer for families.”

“In addition to having a parking pass, people should expect to have their bags checked” at the Delta Township, Michigan July 4th fireworks display, the reporter notes.

She goes on to say, the sheriff’s department says “not to be concerned about the amount of security because it won’t be more than necessary.”

Who decides that? Apparently not the families wanting to enjoy the July 4th fireworks show.
