Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told Mark Kovac today that there is more terrorism from Gitmo remaining open than from terrorists released.
“The assurances that the president has received about the leash that these freed terrorists will be on so that they don’t hold a big danger to our country. Let’s put it this way, there’s more terrorism that is provoked by people being concerned about the imprisonment over a long period of time of these people. It’s a very much bigger picture.”
Even for Pelosi, that was over the top.

For the record… According to a 2010 report, at least 150 former Gitmo detainees have returned to terror after their release.
