Solange Knowles, the sister of Beyonce who made news after she was filmed beating on rapper Jay Z in an elevator, postponed the release of her sneaker in honor of Michael Brown.
Mike Brown was shot dead in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9, 2014.
Michael Brown robbed a local Ferguson convenience store shortly before his death. Then Brown smashed police officer Darren Wilson in the face and wrestled the officer for his gun before he was shot dead.
Solange wanted to honor BlackOut Black Friday.

Solange Knowles is keeping her word when it comes to fighting for the justice of Michael Brown, who was shot dead by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, St. Louis.
After the Grand Jury’s decision came out to be that they would not indict Wilson, the Saint Records singer spoke out strongly in outrage.
She is taking things a step further, and even postponing her sneaker release with Puma that was scheduled for Black Friday, after many are protesting the shopping day after Thanksgiving.
