Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber testified before the House Oversight Committee today to discuss his controversial comments on fooling the “stupid” American public to pass Obamacare.
Gruber told the panel that he knew Obama would break his Obamacare “keep your plan” pledge.
Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI): The Obama administration promised the American people 37 times that if you like your plan you can keep your plan. When you were working on the law did you believe that no one would lose their plan if they liked during Obamacare.
Gruber: I believed that the law would not affect the majority of Americans.
Walberg: But did you believe that no one, as the president said, would lose a plan they liked?
Gruber: As I said I believed it would not affect a vast majority of Americans. But, it is true that some people would have to upgrade their plans because their plans were not comprehensive as defined by the law.
