In a rare instance of humility, President Obama accepted responsibility for the deaths in Jnuary of two hostages held by al Qaeda:
“As President and as Commander-in-Chief, I take full responsibility for all our counterterrorism operations, including the one that inadvertently took the lives of Warren and Giovanni.”
Translation:
“As much as my staff and my administration tried, we simply could find no plausible way to blame George W. Bush.”
White House press secretary Josh Earnest immediately backtracked on Obama’s responsibility stating the President never signed off on the deadly drone strikes.
