New York City Police Officer Brian Moore was reportedly in an induced coma after being shot in the head yesterday by ex-con Demetrius Blackwell.

Steve Bognar reports on Twitter that NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said the wounded officer, Brian Moore, twenty-five years old, is still in surgery.
Bratton identified the suspect in custody as thirty-five year old Demetrius Blackwell.
A photo of the arrest of Blackwell was retweeted by retired NYPD officer John Cardillo.

Cardillo added Blackwell served seven years for attempted murder and was released in 2008.
