Mike Brown’s Pal Dorian Johnson Due in Court Today – Update: Attorney Is AWOL

Dorian Johnson, friend of robber Michael Brown, was due in court today for unrelated charges.
Dorian was with Brown when he roughed up a convenience store owner during a strong-arm robbery and then later when Brown attacked a police officer and was shot dead.

Dorian Johnson is also the first one to tell reporters that Michael Brown had his hands up and was running away from police when he was shot.
Which was a lie.
CBS Local reported:

The friend who was with Michael Brown last summer when the unarmed Brown was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer is due in court on a misdemeanor charge stemming from an unrelated incident.

Dorian Johnson is to appear in court Monday on a May 7 charge of resisting arrest or interfering with a lawful stop or detention, a misdemeanor.

Prosecutors allege that the 23-year-old Johnson tried to hinder the May 6 arrest of his younger brother.

Johnson and Brown were walking in a Ferguson street last August when a white police officer, Darren Wilson, confronted them. Wilson shot and killed Brown following a scuffle.

Brown’s death led to months of sometimes-violent protests and spawned a national “Black Lives Matter” movement seeking changes in how police deal with minorities.

UPDATE: His attorneys were AWOL.
Kentucky.com reported:

Dorian Johnson, 23, declined to comment to The Associated Press after the brief hearing ultimately postponed until July 13 after neither of his attorneys showed up. Neither attorney responded to messages seeking comment.
