Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s happy deportment at Thursday’s House Select Benghazi Committee hearing brought criticism from MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who, commenting on photos of an exuberant Clinton on Twitter, said:
“The expressions of Secretary Clinton today are fascinating. One would not know the hearings involved 4 U.S. deaths.”
and:
“A happy Hillary at hearing. I’m not sure I’d be so ebullient at a hearing involving a U.S. Ambassador’s death.”
One can only imagine what Scarborough’s reaction will be to video of a chirpy Hillary Clinton at the Benghazi hearing inviting a Democratic congressman from Iowa to a Katy Perry concert being held in his state for Clinton’s presidential campaign.
The video was taken and posted to Twitter by ABC News reporter Liz Kreutz. Clinton was seen greeting supporters in the hearing room during a break. Kreutz says the man out of camera range who received Clinton’s personal invitation to the Katy Perry concert over a warm handshake is Rep. Dave Loebsack.
Loebsack announced his support for Clinton in the Iowa caucuses last month in a move that made state-wide headlines in Iowa.
“U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack of Iowa’s second district, the lone Democrat in Iowa’s congressional delegation, announced Monday that he is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Iowa Caucus.
““She has the ideas, the passion, the values that we need in our next president,” Loebsack said at the “Salute to Labor” picnic in the Quad Cities on Monday.
“In 2008, Loebsack opted to endorse then-Illinois Sen. Barack Obama over Clinton.”
Clinton wouldn't tell reporters how she thinks the hearing's going, but her expressions suggest probably pretty good pic.twitter.com/gsg4SoDMGG

Clinton went from a loud happy voice while greeting supporters to sotto voce when she spotted Loebsack.
“Hi, Dave! (Cross talk) Are you going to come to my Katy Perry concert?”
Loebsack replied, “I hope so.”
A smiling Clinton shot back, “I hope so, too!”
Loesbsack, “Thanks a lot!”
Clinton, “Okay!”
Pop star Katy Perry is playing a concert in Des Moines, Iowa on October 24 hosted by former President Bill Clinton.
