Everyone drop your Taco Bell. Liberals are now complaining that serving Mexican food is offensive to Mexican immigrants.
The Hayride reports via Campus Reform:
After Clemson University in South Carolina held their annual ‘Mexican Food Day’ in the college’s student cafeteria, a few students (probably some Gender Studies majors) started to complain that the event was “culturally insensitive.”
The majority of students disagreed, but naturally, officials at the university agreed with the offended students and issued an apology, saying they were sorry for the events “flattened cultural view of Mexican culture.”
“It is the mission of University Housing & Dining to create supportive and challenging environments that enrich and nourish lives. We failed to live out our mission yesterday, and we sincerely apologize,” Hallenbeck said.
Dr. Hallenbeck went on to promise that the university “will continue to work closely with [its] food service provider to create dining programs that align with Clemson University’s core values.”
Students also took to Twitter to complain that it was offensive for white cafeteria workers to wear sombreros to celebrate Mexican food, with one student saying “Our culture isn’t a costume and we will not be mocked!”
Good grief. Liberals have to ruin everything, don’t they?
