PATHETIC: Democrats Suddenly Wish Republicans Were More Like GEORGE W. BUSH (VIDEO)

George W. Bush DNC Ad

The Democrats have created a new ad which attacks Republicans for using the term “radical Islam” and they use old footage of George W. Bush to make their point.

It’s astonishing to see Democrats pretending to respect a man they compared to Hitler for eight years.

Of course, the whole point of the ad is to show how thoughtful and politically correct Democrats are, but the unintended message is clear. Democrats are more concerned about the words “radical Islam” than they are about radical Islam.

Alex Griswold of Mediaite describes the ad this way:

DNC Ad Attacking Republicans for Saying ‘Radical Islam’ Is Laughably Stupid

A new ad from the Democratic National Committee attacks Republican presidential candidates for using the term “radical Islam.” Entitled “Inciting fear isn’t presidential,” the ad argues that the use of the term is offensive to Muslims.

I’ve seen my share of nasty, bizarre, and over-the-top political ads. But this may be the first that I can honestly say is just plain stupid.

Watch the video:

Here are a couple of reactions:

Amy Miller of Legal Insurrection:

Ridiculous. Embarrassing. The stupidity and blatant intellectual dishonesty of this ad makes me hostile. Normally, what the DNC says and does pales in comparison to the follies of the social justice warriors and 60s-era “activist” sect, but this is just too much.

The DNC rails in this ad about “incitement,” saying that inciting fear “isn’t presidential”; the problem is that this very ad attempts to incite more fear than even the most radically offensive, white hood-wearing, backwoods racist could ever hope for.

They don’t want you to be afraid of radical Islamists. They want you to be afraid of Republicans.

Allahpundit of Hot Air:

The punchline is, Bush himself mentioned “radical Islam” in his presidential rhetoric; he even used it in the State of the Union, for cripes sake. He used the adjective “radical” because he wanted to suggest a distinction between “real” Islam and the version preached by jihadis — which is the same thing the Republican candidates featured in the ad are doing. It’s these DNC imbeciles, not the GOPers in the ad, who are effectively equating Islam with “radical Islam” by refusing to acknowledge the distinction.

The ad is so shameless.

If it weren’t for double standards, the left wouldn’t have any.
