VIDEO and PHOTOS=> Syrian Rebels Shoot Down Russian Rescue Helicopter, Following Jet Crash

The shoot down of the SU-24 Russian jet in Turkey was followed by reports a rescue helicopter was shot down.

The Free Syrian Army, a rebel group of former Syrian military officers, took credit for the incident.

UPDATE: Propaganda video alleging TOW missile attack on helicopter that had already landed.

The Russian helicopter crew was reportedly rescued.

Turkey is a NATO ally. Russia in recent months has been aggressively challenging air space and territorial waters of Western adversaries.

NATO announced it will be holding an emergency session on the shooting down of the Russian plane by Turkey.
