Apparently 8 year old gangstas have been the latest perpetrators of drive by shootings in Knoxville, TN, as community members staged a buyback for TOY GUNS.
Nolan is one of many speaking out against violence in an area where he says crime is high. Demonstrators say this past week has been tough in Knoxville as three people were killed and one woman was shot due to gun violence.
“It’s not ok,” Nolan said. He’s on a mission to reach out and collect guns off the street, whether they’re fake or real. “I’m buying all toy guns, real guns, half way broken guns, whatever gun,” he said.
In conjunction with the buyback, a “rally” for gun control took place, featuring a whole five people.
Danielle Davis recently organized a rally and said it was an impromptu thing she felt like she just had to put together.
“I didn’t see too much of anything going on or happening, so I just decided to step up and bring awareness of what’s going on,” Davis said.
