9/11 Truther Rosie O’Donnell to Headline FUNDRAISER FOR HILLARY CLINTON
There was a time when politicians running for office wouldn’t be caught dead in the same room as a vocal 9/11 truther but apparently that time has passed.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Rosie O’Donnell to headline fundraiser for Hillary Clinton
Rosie O’Donnell is set to headline a fundraiser to support Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign along with other supporters next week in New York City.
The former host of “The View” is set to join Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, Jim Obergefell and Cynthia Nixon to support Clinton next Wednesday as she looks to sew up the Democratic nomination during contests in April. Eight states are set to decide on delegates throughout the month, including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York, where Clinton served for eight years as a U.S. senator.
O’Donnell pushed news of the fundraiser on her social media accounts.
The news comes as Clinton looks to a general election matchup with Donald Trump, whom O’Donnell has engaged in a decade-long feud. It even cropped up at the first Republican debate when Fox News’ Megyn Kelly asked Trump about his past comments about women in which he called them “fat pigs” and “disgusting animals.” Trump responded that the remarks were directed at “only Rosie O’Donnell.”
Here’s a 2009 report from Popular Mechanics on Rosie O’Donnel’s views of 9/11:
Rosie O’Donnell 9/11 Conspiracy Comments
Recently, Rosie O’Donnell, a co-host of ABC talk show The View, made comments on the show that renewed controversy over the collapse of World Trade Center 7.
While saying she didn’t know what to believe about the U.S. government’s involvement in the attacks of Sept. 11, she said, “I do believe that it’s the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics that World Trade Center tower 7—building 7, which collapsed in on itself—it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. World Trade Center 7. World Trade [Center] 1 and 2 got hit by planes—7, miraculously, the first time in history, steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible.”
She continued: “To say that we don’t know that it imploded, that it was an implosion and a demolition, is beyond ignorant. Look at the films, get a physics expert here [on the show] from Yale, from Harvard, pick the school—[the collapse] defies reason.”
The article then goes on to debunk her comments.
Naturally, the media will skip that part of Rosie’s past in their coverage.
