Speaker Paul Ryan held a press conference today after a weekly meeting with Republican House members.
Speaker Paul Ryan still won’t endorse Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president.
“To pretend we’ve unified the party when coming through a very bruising primary, which just ended just a week ago, to pretend we have unity without actually unifying then we go into the fall at half strength. This election is too important… That means we need a real unification of our party.”
Wow!
.@SpeakerRyan says he’s not going to “pretend” party is unified; we need to make “effort” https://t.co/oQRiwmm0TN https://t.co/MVOPLMu3Qi
