Update: Dallas Police Exchanging Gunfire With Suspect; Shooter Claims Bombs Planted in City

Dallas Police Chief David Brown held a press conference early Friday in which he stated that police had been negotiating for 45 minutes with a suspect who was firing on them at the second floor of the El Centro parking garage.

Chief Brown says the suspect had told police “the end is coming”, that more officers will be killed and that bombs had been planted in the garage and around downtown.

Chief Brown also said three suspects were in custody, a woman who was detained near the parking garage and two men who were seen with camouflaged bags in their vehicle.

Chief Brown said none of the suspects are cooperating. He also said the police do not have a “complete comfort level that we have all the suspects.”
