CNBC reported:

Donald Trump may travel to Mexico City on Wednesday to meet with Mexico’s president, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed sources in the U.S. and Mexico.

The potential visit would come just ahead of the Republican presidential candidate’s closely watched speech to clarify his immigration policy, after weeks of wavering on whether he would hew to a hard-line on cracking down on illegal immigrants, a key driver of support for his campaign. Trump is expected to speak on immigration on Wednesday.

Sources told the Washington Post on Tuesday that talks between the Trump campaign and Mexican officials were ongoing, with logistics and security issues still being arranged.

Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto extended the invitation, while Trump decided to accept over the weekend, the sources said, according to the report.

Lifezette has more on the trip:

It is expected that Trump advisor and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and at least one U.S. senator will attend the meeting — along with high-ranking Mexican officials.

Senator Jeff Sessions is traveling with Donald Trump tonight in Washington state.
