Reason #8 – Trump Will Build a Great Border Wall
When Donald Trump launched his presidential bid in June 2015 in a speech from his Trump Tower office building in Manhattan some on the left didn’t take him seriously. Far Left Liberal Politico said that his announcement was one of the more bizarre spectacles of the 2016 political season to that point and further pointed out that one of his most entertaining lines was –
I would build a great wall. And nobody builds walls better than me, believe me. And I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great great wall on our southern border and I’ll have Mexico pay for that wall.”
What the left didn’t know was that Trump was serious and America was behind him!
Former Mexican president, Vicente Fox, was interviewed by Jorge Ramos for television show Al Punto later in February 2016 and he called Trump a ‘braggart’, and said that Mexico would not be paying for that ‘f% #@ing wall’.
The same day that former Mexican president Fox made his nasty statement a Republican debate was held and Trump was asked how he was going to pay for the wall. Trump responded by saying, “I will and the wall just got 10 feet taller!”
Trump struck a nerve with Americans who want their safety and security and who feel that the current administration is doing the opposite of protecting America from illegal aliens crossing the Southern border. One report about Obama’s Southern border shared a 4-star general’s observations that –
The ongoing border crisis is much more than just a flood of illegal immigrants searching for amnesty and a better life. It is a crisis that is threatening America’s national security, and even it’s very existence as we know it, as deadly diseases, drugs, weapons, even terrorists are being smuggled into the country, with doctors and agents being threatened to stay silent about it.
Obama’s border policy of letting anyone and everyone cross the border is just a part of his immigration policy. Even the often liberal AP News Service in a report on the always liberal NPR noted that immigration stands as Obama’s most glaring failure.
Millions of illegals have been let in the US and allowed to stay without deportation. A number most often quoted is 11 million but the number is probably closer to 30 million. Terrible people are included in the list of illegal immigrants and they have done terrible things. Many of the killers in recent terrorist attacks have been either immigrants or children of immigrants.
Author Ann Coulter was behind Trump early and it was because of his stance on immigration and Coulter predicted in 2015 that Trump would win the presidency because of this.
In addition to Ann’s arguments, President Obama is bringing more and more people into the US from the Middle East who in no way can be background checked or vetted for prior terrorist activities. Hillary Clinton wants to bring in 550% more Syrians into the US than Obama has.
Obama’s immigration policy is maddening.
A vote for Trump is a vote for safety and common sense when it comes to immigration. A vote for Hillary is a vote for a porous Southern border and 550% more Syrians with no background checks coming into the US.
