Lightweight Left-Wing Blog Tries to Smear Trump – Fails Miserably (VIDEO)

Liberal lightweights try to smear Trump – Fail Miserably

The constant slew of attacks from the left have made them hard to stomach. It’s easy to see beyond their clear partisan assaults on President Trump and his family and friends, but the latest attack from left-wing blog ProPublica is humor at its finest . . . It even culminated in a childish Twitter rant, the kind you’d see one of those verified liberal journalists do on EVERY new Trump tweet. They’re pathetic.

ProPublica claims that President Trump is too close to his family’s business interests, where they fell short on having any veracity to the claim was when they bypassed the trust agreement provision “authorized by law and recommended by the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Ethics as well as the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.”

ProPublica, the left-wing blog, reported on Monday that documents, which govern the trust that holds all of Trump’s businesses, were changed in February to dictate that the trustee would make distributions to President Trump upon request.

The ProPublica quote:

“Trump can draw money from his more than 400 businesses, at any time, without disclosing it.”

Breitbart reports:

According to ProPublica, this shows “just how little separation there actually is” between the Trump businesses and the U.S. government.

To anyone familiar with the blind trust agreements signed by government officials, however, this is nonsense. Almost every trust agreement signed by U.S. government officials authorizes distributions upon request of the official for whom the trust is established.

The government has a sample blind trust agreement that was distributed by the Senate Ethics Committee staff and is the model document that senators and their staff use to set up trusts. It LITERALLY authorizes “the kind of requests for distributions that has ProPublica scandalized.”

In basic speak: ProPublica is full of it. Another lefty outlet that’s lost its grip on reality.

The best part about this whole ProPublica situation is that they then went after Spicer on Twitter with a GIANT rant like a bunch of petulant children citing their history and career, which lead others – the ignorant Twitter cadre – to do no research of their own and pat ProPublica on the back for their brilliant journalistic inquiry. Huzzah!

In reality, they fell EXTREMELY short and should be embarrassed.
