Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced Thursday morning he will step aside from the House Intelligence Committee Russia investigation.
Rep. Nunes made the decision after left-wing groups filed bogus ethics complaints against the Intelligence Committee chair.
That was enough for this Republican to recuse himself from the investigation on Russia.
Rep. Nunes: “Several leftwing activist groups have filed accusations against me with the Office of Congressional Ethics. The charges are entirely false and politically motivated, and are being leveled just as the American people are beginning to learn the improper unmasking of the identities US citizens and other abuses of power.”
Rep. Mike Conaway will now lead the investigation.
