Republican Karen Handel beat Democrat darling Jon Ossoff Tuesday evening in Georgia’s 6th district special election.
The race in Georgia’s 6th district is the most expensive House race in US history.
More than $50 million was spent on the race to replace Rep. Tom Price in the US House.
As the word ‘WINNER’ appeared on the screen with a huge gold check mark next to Republican Karen Handel, CNN’s Don Lemon said. ‘Is this really a loss for the Democrats?’
Don Lemon: “A Republican wins in Georgia, it shouldn’t be breaking news. This is the way it should happen, but the fact, David that it was so close at least it appeared in the polling and the results as well, the results were actually really close.
What does it say about the state of affairs especially for Trump. Is there a mandate for Donald Trump? Will he keep his support? Will it stay the same? Are Democrats looking at this as necessarily a loss? Or they got closer and maybe there is hope for them in the midterms?”
Of course this was a huge loss for Democrats. Jon Ossoff outspent his opponent 6-fold and still lost. The Democrats continue to slide into the abyss of delusion as they still cannot understand why they lose elections. The left cannot convey a clear message to voters and the over 1,000 seats they have lost since Obama was elected proves that.
