In August 2016 before the general election Republican candidate Donald Trump tweeted out his disgust of the Morning Joe hosts and threatened to reveal the “real story” of Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s relationship.
This came after months of months of criticism the Republican presidential candidate.
Some day, when things calm down, I’ll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!

“Some day, when things calm down, I’ll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!”
Trump claimed that he would share information about the personal relationship between the two hosts — the subject of much speculation.
In early May Page Six reported that Mika and Joe were engaged.
Shortly after the announcement President Trump offered to officiate the wedding! (Hah-hah!)
Page Six reported:
President Trump wants to marry Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
The pair, who Page Six exclusively revealed got engaged this weekend, discussed marriage back in January at the White House — in the presence of the POTUS and Jared Kushner.
Scarborough, 54, told Vanity Fair that Trump, 70, suggested they tie the knot at Mar-A-Lago or the White House.
“That’s when Jared interrupted and said, ‘Hey, you know what? I’ve got my license. I could marry you,’” Scarborough recalled.
Not to be outdone, Scarborough claims that Trump snapped back, “‘Why would you marry them? They could have the president of the United States marry them.’”
Of course that was before President Trump tweeted out this on Thursday.
…to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!
