Trump Fires Off Tweet After GOP Senate Fails to Repeal Obamacare

President Trump fired off a tweet following the news that two more Senators defected on the healthcare bill Monday evening.

President Trump expressed his frustration after Obamacare repeal died in the Senate by saying, “Republicans should just REPEAL failing Obamacare now & work on a new Healthcare Plan that will start from a clean slate. Dems will join in!”

As TGP reported earlier, GOP Senators Jerry Moran (Kansas) and Mike Lee (Utah) announced Monday night that they will not be supporting the bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.

The Hill reported:

GOP Sens. Jerry Moran (Kansas) and Mike Lee (Utah) announced on Monday night they will not support taking up a bill repealing and replacing ObamaCare, effectively blocking the legislation.

“This closed-door process has yielded the [bill], which fails to repeal the Affordable Care Act or address healthcare’s rising costs. For the same reasons I could not support the previous version of this bill, I cannot support this one,” Moran said in a statement.
Lee added on Twitter that “my colleague  and I will not support the MTP to this version of BCRA.”
