Bernie Sanders & Cory Booker REFUSE To Discuss Their Support For Endless Wars [VIDEO]

As first reported by Big League Politics, Senator Rand Paul stood on the Senate floor “to oppose unauthorized, undeclared and unconstitutional war,” but liberal figureheads like Bernie Sanders REFUSED to discuss whether they support Sen. Paul or not.

It had come to the attention of the Gateway Pundit and Big League Politics that multiple Democrats are slated to work against ending these seemingly endless wars, which have become among some of the biggest burdens for the American taxpayers. The push to stop the authorizations coming from the lone voice of Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky.

Via Big League Politics:

In a bold act, Senator Rand Paul is currently staging a sit in on the House floor in protest of the Senate attempting to move forward with the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). He is currently seeking an amendment to end the authorization of military force in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In a statement both tweeted and provided to Big League Politics, Senator Paul vowed to object to all procedural motions and amendments unless the amendment regarding military force is added.

“Tonight, the Senate is attempting to move forward with the Defense Bill. I am seeking an amendment to end the AUMF in Afghanistan and Iraq. I will object to all procedural motions and amendments unless and until my amendment is made in order and we vote on these wars. An attempt was made to run the clock on the bill overnight. I objected and am now sitting on the floor of the Senate to stop that,” the statement read.

Senator Paul noted that the wars have been ongoing for 16 years and that the time is now for Congress to vote on whether or not they should continue.

“Tonight I sit silently to protest the thousands of American soldiers who have died over the past decade in these wars. We have been there for 16 years. It is time for them to end. It is time for Congress to vote on whether or not they should end. The Senate is now in a quorum call, unable to act because of my protest. This is why I sit on the floor, in silent protest. I will continue this protest and these objections for as long as needed to ensure Congress do its duty, and vote on ending these wars,” the statement continued.

Big League Politics’ Cassandra Fairbanks and the Gateway Pundit’s Lucian Wintrich waited inside the Senate building and were able to confront both Cory Booker and Bernie Sanders, pressing them on what their stances truly are (spoiler alert: they refused to say much).

Bernie Sanders at 5:08 in:

Fairbanks: Are you going to support Rand Paul’s Amendment to pull out of Iraq and Afganistan?

Sanders: Wait AND see.

Fairbanks: Why is the right taking on this fight instead of the left?

Wintrich: Why are the Democrats now the party of war?

Cory Booker at 15:35 in:

Wintrich: I was wondering, why are you not supporting Rand Paul’s bill to end these endless wars in Iraq and Afganistan?

Booker: What makes you think I’m not supporting it?

Wintrich: Well, are you supporting it?

Cassandra: Don’t let the right lead it!

We will update this story once we know what happens – neither Sanders nor Booker flat out denied that they would stand against Sen. Paul; but the left has a tricky way of leading people to believe that they’ll do the right then, only to come back and do the opposite.
