LEAK: Susan Rice Revealed To House Investigators Why She Unmasked Trump Officials

A new report out on Susan Rice says the former top Obama administration official revealed to House investigators why she unmasked Trump officials. Rice sought to understand more about a meeting between UAE crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan and senior Trump aides that took place late last year.

CNN claims:

Former national security adviser Susan Rice privately told House investigators that she unmasked the identities of senior Trump officials to understand why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates was in New York late last year, multiple sources told CNN.

The New York meeting preceded a separate effort by the UAE to facilitate a back-channel communication between Russia and the incoming Trump White House.

The crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, arrived in New York last December in the transition period before Trump was sworn into office for a meeting with several top Trump officials, including Michael Flynn, the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his top strategist Steve Bannon, sources said.

The Obama administration felt misled by the United Arab Emirates, which had failed to mention that Zayed was coming to the United States even though it’s customary for foreign dignitaries to notify the US government about their travels, according to several sources familiar with the matter. Rice, who served as then-President Obama’s national security adviser in his second term, told the House Intelligence Committee last week that she requested the names of the Americans mentioned in the classified report be revealed internally, a practice officials in both parties say is common.

Last Wednesday, Rice was grilled in private, by the House Intelligence Committee concerning her role in the highly controversial intel-gathering practice.

Fox News reports:

Former national security adviser Susan Rice is meeting privately Wednesday with the House Intelligence Committee, Fox News has learned, in the latest Capitol Hill session involving an Obama administration official.

Rice was expected to face questions in closed session about Russia and the unmasking controversy. The sit-down comes after she attended a similar private session in July with staffers on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Some lawmakers have made clear they want to hear more from Obama administration officials, especially Rice, over their potential role in “unmasking” the identities of Trump associates from intelligence reports last year.

Top Trump aide, H.R. McMaster believes Rice did nothing wrong in unmasking White House officials.

Breitbart News reports:

Two United States intelligence officials told Bloomberg’s Eli Lake that McMaster has concluded that Rice did nothing wrong.

That assertion is at odds with Trump’s thinking, as he repeatedly raised the Rice story during speeches and media interviews.

“I think the Susan Rice thing is a massive story,” Trump said in an interview with the New York Times, suggesting that it was possible that she may have committed a crime.

On April 12, Trump used the story to defend his accusations that the Obama administration was spying and leaking on his transition team in an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.
“When you look at Susan Rice and what’s going on and so many people are coming up to me and apologizing now,” Trump said. “They say, ‘You know, you were right when you said that.’”

When Bartiromo told Trump that Rice denied doing anything political, he dismissed it.

Former Obama Ambassador and White House adviser Susan Rice went on CNN over the summer to trash President Trump.

This is the same woman who lied to 5 different networks on the same day about the Benghazi terrorist attacks.

Susan Rice, Barack Obama’s national security adviser and UN ambassador, reportedly requested on several occasions the “unmasking” of identities of private citizens linked to President Trump’s transition and campaign.

In April Susan Rice appeared on MSNBC to respond to allegations that she unmasked Trump and his top associates .

Rice denied she unmasked Trump and his associates for political purposes, ‘I leaked nothing to nobody’. This was a direct contradiction from what she said two weeks ago on PBS… When she denied Trump’s ‘wiretap’ allegations.

This woman is not trustworthy and never was.

Rice told Fareed Zakaria she did her job faithfully in unmasking Trump advisers.

“I never did anything that was untoward with respect to intelligence I received.”

Rice actively sought to unmask the names of Trump advisers in personal conversations with foreign agents.
