Another briefing, another outburst by Urban News Network’s favorite irate White House reporter April Ryan.
During a packed briefing this afternoon, the focus was predictably on how President Donald Trump handled a phone conversation with Army Sergeant La David Johnson’s widow. While many journalists in the room latched onto this story as yet another hopeful propaganda play for the MSM and against the Trump Administration, Ms. Ryan decided to take the entire ordeal into the realm of insanity. After being called on, she irately declared:
Congresswoman Wilson — I talked to her a couple of hours ago, and she says that this is the President’s Benghazi. She says that Jackson was — and his Green Berets were — in Niger trying to find out information and doing a mission about Boko Haram. And she said that his transmitter was still emitting for two days — emitting a signal when he was located. And she says that makes no sense why he wasn’t located. What say you about that?
For those of you unaware, Congresswoman Wilson is the mentally deficient Florida Senate Democrat who has become somewhat famous on the left for rambling about why Trump should be impeached since May.
Note: with outfits like that, it is no wonder why Flordia voters hired her for Senate to keep her from continuing her Gallagher-styled one-woman open-mic night acts.
After hearing Ryan out, Press Secretary Sanders calmly addressed the attack posed as a question:
As the President stated, the hardest job he has is making calls like that. I think it is appalling what the congresswoman has done and the way that she’s politicized this issue, and the way that she is trying to make this about something that it isn’t.
After Sanders correctly calling out Congresswoman Wilson shallow attempts to politicize propagandize an emotional issue, she continued to remark on the President’s proven track record of appreciation and love for American armed forces:
This was a President who loves our country very much, who has the greatest level of respect for men and women in the uniform, and wanted to call and offer condolences to the family. And I think to try to create something from that that the congresswoman is doing is, frankly, appalling and disgusting.
Ryan, never satiated, attempted to double down on her attack. Regurgitating Congresswoman Wilson’s ill-informed notion that the situation in Boko Haram in Niger is akin to Benghazi:
What do you say about what she said about Boko Haram in Niger? What do you say about what she said about the mission and then comparing it to Benghazi? Was she right? Was she right?
Sanders ended Ryan’s line of questioning calmly, as a parent would attempt to defuse a hostile 9-year old screaming for more attention in the middle of an adult dinner party:
As I said before, I’m not going to get into the details of that action at this time. And when we have further information, I’ll be happy to discuss it with you.
